Bekka Broyles is a technical director with over 5 years of experience providing technical support for large and small-scale projects.
Since she was a kid growing up in San Antonio, Texas, Bekka Broyles has had a passion for telling stories. Before college, she worked at the Classic Theatre of San Antonio as an intern where she shadowed working professional designers and technicians. She is a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College where she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Theatre and Dance. As a student, she immersed herself in researching costume and scenic history, design, and construction. She has worked on several mainstage productions, volunteered and worked in the costume and scene shops, and took on several independent mentorships with faculty including working on the 2020 Prague Quadrennial Special Design Project with Rebecca Lustig. During the summer, Bekka has worked several seasons in costuming at the Williamstown Theatre Festival with equity performers where she helped to shop, pattern, alter, and dress costumes. In 2022, she worked as the Assistant Technical Director for Public Theatre of San Antonio where she designed, constructed, and maintained sets for new large-scale musicals. She directed the tech team to ensure safety and show quality. Currently, Bekka works is a technical direction intern for Disney Live Entertainment. In addition to her experience, she has practical skills navigating Vectorworks, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
